Anything worrying about a 103k mile Acura TL? It’s got a stick, hence the interest.

I have an 06 TL for sale currently. It’s an auto though, with 115k miles.
Only thing you need to worry about is the timing belt due at 120k. Other than that you should be worry free.

Don’t think so.

It’s a Honda, it’ll last until 250k no problem, you’ll have to do the timing belt if it hasn’t been done but that’s expected. These are really nice driving cars and still look good today, don’t think, just buy it.

The gross looking shift knob, maybe

120k? oof. That’s pretty close. I thought it was due at 7 yr/105k miles, which is even worse. I’ll have to ask the question.

Yeah it’s pretty foul looking.

Isn’t the TSX the accord euro?

I will ! haha but if I was in the market for one, this is the one I’d get, it looks pretty good and a manual is a good find

Now now, there’s no such thing as a stupid question.

Timing belt servicing coming up, and you’re avoiding one of the biggest issues with this generation TL in getting a manual - the auto transmissions sometimes have issues.
These have been shown to be great cars though.

Timing belt service, depending who you ask it’s done at 100k or 120k.

If you don’t do it, I’ll ban ya

I called about the belt and water pump service, and the clutch. I’m hoping the first owner was a good one and didn’t ditch this just before the belt work. I’m not buying a car just to put another $600 into it two weeks later.

Like others have said, you’ll probably need to do the timing belt. Other Tha that though it’ll go another 100k easily. Nothing but fluid changes, brakes and tires. Timeless design combined with decent comfort and great interior quality. You can’t really go wrong with these. I had a second gen CL and that was a great car. My only complaint was it was as long as a Honda Oddessy and it was getting tired at 200k miles.

2.4 K motor has timing chain. Not a problem. Some people comment on the chain guide and tensioner. But I don’t think they are problems unless you are really racing it. Our 2.0 ‘02 K motor went 200,000 miles with no maintenance or repairs, and original water pump. It also went 6000 miles to the quart on oil. When we sold it.... Also original 5 spd with original clutch. It’s about as indestructible of a car you can find.........

Oops TL not TSX. Don’t have a clue on a TL, good luck.
